…show a definite need for Conductive Education/Therapy to help physically disabled children.
There are over 12.1 million children under the age of 16 in the U.K. 
- 1 in 400 children are born with cerebral
palsy (estimated 30,250 in UK).
- 8% to 10% of children have some
degree of dyspraxia. (approx 2-3 children in every school class of 30). Of
these 2% are severely affected. (estimated 242,000 severe cases in the
U.K.)
- 130,000 people each year suffer a
stroke, with over 250,000 recovering at any one time.
- 120,000 people have Parkinson’s. (figures
are 1 in 500, increasing to 1 in 100 at the age of 65).
- 85,000 people in the U.K. have
been diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in their late 20’s/30’s, with more
women than men being afflicted.
- 1 million people attend hospital
with head injuries each year, 10% are left with serious physical and/or
psychological disabilities.
